Streamline Tankers Cargoes

MULTIPLE GRADES
The ships in Streamline Tankers’ fleet can carry multiple grades of liquid cargoes simultaneously.

TYPE OF CARGOES
The main type of cargoes transported on Streamline Tankers ships are chemicals, clean petroleum products, bio fuels and vegetable oils.

STOWAGE FACTORS
Carrying liquid cargoes in bulk requires a stringent pre-routine evaluation and check of multiple aspects and regulations before such cargoes can be committed to and carried on board the ships. In addition to physical aspects such as the available cargo capacity on the ship or draft limitations in ports or ship stability issues due to the weight balance of cargoes stowed on the ship, here are some more major factors which determine if a specific product can be carried on board a tanker:

  • Is the specific product listed on the certificate of fitness of the intended ship?
  • Are all of the previous last three cargoes of the specific tank suitable to carry the intended product?
  • Does the intended cargo meet the requirements of the future cargo program?
  • Does the type of tank coating of the ship allow for the carriage of the intended product?
  • Do the cargoes in adjacent tanks meet the criteria of the US Coast Guard regulations for adjacent liquid cargo stowages?
  • Does the temperature of the intended or adjacent cargoes meet all requirements?
  • Is the last cargo of the relevant ship tank accepted or rejected by the customer due to their own company policy?

These strict cargo stowage regulations are in place to protect the crew, the ship and the product on board our ships.
